One thing men writing women get wrong is food. Women think about food...a lot. We're the ones mainly responsible for procuring, preparing, and cleaning up after. Also, we're hungry all the time. There's a noticeable absence of food physically and mentally when men write women.

Since the second largest Ebola outbreak on record is currently happening, I recommend reading No One's Coming by Kevin Hazzard. Heart-pounding, funny, moving in its depiction of how brave people can be in the face of death, a timely exploration of what we owe to each other, and frankly, a fun read.
