On this day in 1942, a 14 year old Dutch Jewish girl arrived at Auschwitz with her mother and 5 siblings where they were murdered. Two siblings were also murdered in the Shoah and two survived. Her name was Rachel Ensel Support @auschwitzmemorial.bsky.social

On this day in 1878, a Czechoslovak Jewish man was born. On the 8 Feb 1942 he was deported, with his wife, to Theresienstadt where he died from a cardiac arrest on the 19 Jul 1943. His wife was murdered in Auschwitz. His name was Arnošt Brummel

A bit shattered after Monday’s work, but I was able to do it from home. I couldn’t have physically coped with being at conference (as much as I’d have loved to have been)… Liverpool’s very spread out. A lot of walking. Then lots of standing and helping the team. And can’t drink alcohol so zero fun!
