can't stop thinking about how the utena finale brings you right up to the point where for the story to end happy you must believe in miracles, and then in the final minute before credits roll gives you a little nudge to believe

this show likes to give me ennil/toniya and then immediately separate them and then put them right back together and I kind of adore it asdf please continue to make me incredibly nervous about the state of my OTP

so was anyone going to tell me that revolutionary girl utena ends with the human instrumentality project or was i just supposed to figure that out for myself??????

i have always heard that the ending of rgu is kinda hopeless and i feel like i did not just watch the same ending i have always heard about

People will freak out that a trans kid going on puberty blockers or hormones is "irreversibly altering their body!!!1!" and then make their kid join the football team.

the republicans are wide open on several fronts, historically unpopular president, unpopular war, record high gas. any dem throwing trans people under the bus at this moment is doing it because they want to. not like they need to, do they. even if it worked as a vote winner, which it doesn't

AFTER voting for the least-worst candidate, it's time to make that person's life miserable unless and until they start actively protecting their constituents.

It's repetition and TIME. People do not stick to issues. You have to stay committed to pushing your issues. This is why I always insist that people find their lane (one lane) and fight like hell there.

revolutionary girl utena once again proving itself to be on victory's level with the absolutely astounding recaps!!!!!! recapping the nanami episodes in a way that hints at what's to come in the final arc is so delicious

i just think that if you ask someone "do you smoke?" and she replies "no i'm horrifically allergic to smoke" you should ask some version of "oh does one of us need to step away?" before just lighting up with her right there in the path of your exhalations

Protip: you do not have to watch the new Harry Potter trailer. I did not watch the new Harry Potter trailer, and I am doing great. If I had watched the new Harry Potter trailer, I am sure to have felt regretful and like I had betrayed many wonderful trans folks just living their lives.

"I already boycott The New York Times/don't have a subscription, what can I do?" A lot! You can: * Share our call for boycott. Tell others about the NYT's role in trans genocide * Stop sharing NYT links, even to dunk on them * Pressure the pension/retirement funds invested in the NYT to divest

i love talking to strangers so much. like girl, tell me about your life and interests and what's got you annoyed. i may not have context but i will be more than happy to catch up. i love it when going to the bar turns into talking to strangers

i'm not sure what happened, but this past week, for the first time in my life, when i look in my reflection, i see a woman my own age. not some boy trying to figure out how to make that gender fit, not a young girl trying to catch up to her body and experience. a 32 year old woman

hate it when i wake up 2 hours before my alarm and then my body goes "yeah 6 hours was enough" but at least this time i got to pass that time with a pleasant conversation with a new pal

i think the longer u transition the more u get a feel for who u really are and it sort of gives u this feeling that u are drifting away from everyone else. but perhaps that is just what it means to develop an actual personality and we're just not used to that after having been closeted for so long

real glad the Transmisogyny musical was so big for all y'all, it made me hate myself and wanna die especially given how many of y'all hold it up as the pinnacle of queerness and I think y'all should reckon with how alienating that feels for a transfem but you won't, you'll just shout at me again

the fact that when i was getting so excited about victory's recap episodes not one single person brought up that utena also gets on that level is bananas to me. i need recommendations for more anime that do so good using recap episodes to advance the plot because nothing gets me more rowdy!!!!!

i think wakaba might be the only character i have every cared about and that if she got a rose seal ring the show would explode on account of her unrestrained power

100

sochie’s bike @newbsombrero.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

can't stop thinking about how utena rebels against gender roles by trying to be a girl who is a prince and then freaks out any time someone like wakaba tries to engage with that prince role seriously because actually she just wants to be a normal girl

gundam zz screenshot with subtitles that read: "you really haven't transitioned, char?"

the image features haman karn in all her pink-haired glory, flanked by two uniformed soldiers (only visible in this frame by their shoulders in front of her). she has a look of disdain on her face, and purple eyes.
