Deeply angry how often I can work "Are you telling me, 'some of those who work forces, are the same who burn crosses?'" into normal conversations about the political situation today to cut off a long line of reasoning that is being introduced. Seasonally appropriate, "nothing new under the sun."

Why this is always hard to grasp: bigots rest on easy markers of identity that are often wrong because you will notice a correlation between education and acceptance of diversity, bigots are too stupid to know they are wrong. They both do and don't hate the target of their errant stereotypes.

I like when I am like, "I don't support anti-science reactionary self-soothing." and the someone steps up next to me and says "Yeah it's bad" and the commences a different variety of said activity but they they announce they are a radical leftist first. Definitely love and doesn't drive me to SI.

People who believe the state is formed because fear of invaders are small minded pricks. neighbors come together because a well needs to be dug and the only place with water is hard to get to and so a road needs to be made for equipment.

The middle class has no valuable food culture because it neither has the resources for indulgence nor the necessity for consumption and joy. Instead they crave bland, nutritionless imitations of others cuisine repackaged to be safe and familiar.

To be clear, I am not saying someone who touches a hot stove deserves burns. I am saying I have no sympathy for someone who gets burned touching a hot stove that they have been specifically informed is hot, they could tell was hot, they knew heat burns, and were warned about it.

This is a misrepresentation. I have been asking to introduce a series of human rights amendments to be signed between June 19th and July 4th specifically to introduce a new holiday, Freedom Fortnight. It doesn't replace any specific even such as July 4th. It adds more events.

I picked up someone's dissertation that a library was getting rid of for 50¢. It ended up being about the formation of Helenic society, and by extension the intellectual foundation of Western Civ, as landowners forming the army specifically to defend their long term investments of olives & grapes.
