Scientists at Yale say long COVID is part of a “long-established family of post-acute infection syndromes.” The biggest challenge is understanding its “underlying pathobiology.” They were “surprised” how often children are affected, noting kids are also vulnerable to “long-term effects.”
A lab researcher in a white coat and blue gloves is pipetting a sample in a laboratory, with glass beakers and chemical containers blurred in the background. A microscope is positioned on the right side of the image. A link preview caption reads: “Yale study places long COVID among an extensive history of post-acute infection syndromes.” The link source is labmate-online.com.

Korean study finds how COVID-19 affects memory, suggests a possible treatment. Korean researchers found the COVID S1 spike protein disrupts nerve cells, harming memory and causing anxiety in mice. Metformin restored nerve function and reduced toxic proteins, suggesting a possible treatment.
A graphic from The Korea Herald illustrates a Korean study on COVID-19 and memory. On the left, a diagram shows the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein entering the brain and disrupting nerve cell connections. A cartoon mouse appears confused, with a scribble above its head, representing cognitive decline. On the right, another mouse looks calm and healthy, symbolizing recovery. Below, two panels compare the mechanisms: the left shows damaged synapses and the buildup of toxic proteins, while the right shows treatment icons — including a medical cross and reduced toxic protein markers — representing improvement after metformin. The headline reads: “Korean study finds how COVID-19 affects memory, suggests a possible treatment.”

Jews make up just 2% of the U.S. population yet represent a disproportionate target of hate crimes in America. The violence never happens in a vacuum; it arises in an atmosphere where antisemitism is amplified across social media platforms and college campuses and then ultimately unleashed in the streets.

According to the ADL, a staggering 1 in 4 Americans believes that recent attacks on Jews in the US are “understandable.” To treat antisemitic terror as “understandable” is to defend the indefensible and excuse the inexcusable. Antisemitism is an acid that corrodes civilization itself.
