I wish Fall would make up its mind, I start the morning needing a jacket and by noon it’s in the 80s

I so desperately want cis people to understand this - the GCs are not feminists, they dont believe in women's rights, they dont value the agency or rights of children. GC is an abuser, forced birther, misogynist, racist, anti working class manifesto of bigotry. Its Andrew Tate with a Chanel handbag.

she said "you can do anything in fiction as long as the situation afterwards is more interesting that the situation before." since then i have been keeping an eye on character death in fiction. many writers seem to think that character death "raises the stakes" but actually just makes things boring

I don’t think I’ve seen a single trans Draco fanart that accurately got his canonical personality, being a craven shit head who’s only confident when the odds are heavily on his side. Granted, it’s Harry Potter so it’s not like I’m bothered, just something I’ve noticed.

Malfoid fits into this precisely. You can see the tropes being imported from other webcomics and micro-doujins and memes. The fantasy is that her entire emotional life revolves around Harry, the viewer insert. She can be haughty, or angry, or embarrassed, or happy, but all pointed in one direction.

But in those groups are more specific, non-flavor, sub ideologies. For example, the pro-west group has the pro-western autocrat, liberalism, and conservatism which all have bonuses and drawbacks that change how they work.

Millennium Dawn fixes the ideology problem by outright grouping them by their foreign policy, which is what the main game implied. There’s the pro-west group, the emerging group (pro-Russia and China), nationalist, and non-aligned (which tends to lean more isolationist).

If anything it feels close to a lot of horror nowadays because it did the whole “look at this cute think! Psych, it’s actually horrible and violent!” thing, when a lot of online horror and shock stuff then would’ve started at people getting violently killed and worked up from there.
