I miss video games, especially RPGs, with no voice acting. I just enjoy being able to put a voice, tone, and inflection myself with what characters say. I like being able to cycle through dialogue and story on my own, without having to make sure I catch the speaking and the subtitles.

iPhone doesn’t tell you on the sleep screen if it’s AM or PM, unless set to military time. I took such a heavy nap that I couldn’t remember what day it is, so I thought it was almost 11:00 in the morning until I realized it’s still Friday night. I love taking naps, but they mess me up sometimes.

Donkey Kong 64 contains an extremely bizarre unused animation of Donkey Kong floating awkwardly in mid-air. The demo version reveals what the animation was meant to look like, with him undulating wildly during it, which is equally bizarre and unexplained.

This was the beginning of the downfall of one of my favorite game franchises. I was loving *almost* every character, but going from the joy of Skyloft to a hallway simulator just killed it for me. Then, the next mainline Zelda games went way too far in the opposite direction.

This game gets a lot of hate, but I love it a lot. When it came out, my ex and I were always in fierce competition for the high score in each level. 😂 That being said, yes, this game is really the most enjoyable when playing with other people. And fighting Stallord again was awesome.

I’ve had a lot of life things going on that have been stressing me out. Add to that a massive lack of time and burying myself in so much political crap, and it’s all made me take a heavy fall away from video games. They used to be my greatest joy. I want to enjoy my favorite hobby again.
