As an MP we desperately need you to raise these issues in parliament, rather than focusing on one university's management. Higher education is in a funding crisis - look at Edinburgh, Exeter and others, it's the same pattern.

By approving new North Sea drilling like Rosebank and Jackdaw, we lock ourselves further into that system. Instead, this government must invest in cheap, reliable home-grown renewable energy that no foreign leader can turn off.

This model – used successfully in many countries across the world – guarantees a low or even free price for a basic level of essential energy use. Enough to cover basics like keeping a fridge running, putting on a wash and keeping the lights on.

Dementia and Alzheimer's are absolutely devastating not only to the sufferer but for their friends and loves ones as well. Currently if it happens to your parent or partner you're effectively on your own navigating this terrible and often very expensive landscape of care.

One thing I have never quite worked out in my head is the way we view chronic pain as somehow less of an issue than acute pain. Same as the way we seem to regard someone experiencing something for the first time as somehow more noteworthy than someone who lives with it every day.

We are selling my partner’s mum’s house to pay her £1500 a week care home fee. If she lives another two years everything she worked for will be gone. Abolishing the triple lock would have cut the £184.90 a week she has lived on for the last 10 years. Don’t cut pensions. Raise inheritance tax!
