Her body is just an outline, hands folded over her stomach; the head and neck are shaded with olive green paint, emphasising the tilt of her head upwards, in defiance, with minimal facial details. There is masking tape forming a frame around her head and shoulders, painted over, to obscure the boundaries and incorporate it into the composition. Her eyes are lowered.

My square linocut illustration the myth of Andromeda, princess chained to a rock in the harbour as sacrifice to Cetus, the sea monster/dragon as Perseus wearing a winged helmet swoops down on his winged horse Pegasus. Since June, I have been experimenting with Scottish dye mushrooms to create pigments and inks. Created a geometric interpretation of the form of these three fungi as a printing plate, with the addition of chine collé silhouettes. A continuation of my striving for a sustainable practice.

Photo shows three prints made using mushroom pigment printing inks. The square prints have a geometric background representing the form of the fungi and a chine collé silhouette of each mushroom. The prints are yellow (Phaeolus), red (Cortinarius) and greyish green (Tapinella). In the background of the photo are small jars of the pigments and inks with the coffee paper filters used to strain the pigment.

An Irish #painting not of Dublin now. "Blue Mountains, Green Grass I" I painted a long time ago, because I like the shapes our country gives us. A large painting for me (101 cm x 76 cm), it was exhibited in America before going to a good home there. #SpéirGhorm #ArtYear

Landscape format in acrylics on canvas. Rural scene of pasture with trees, hills and mountains. Foreground of tall green grass gives way to flat textured orange area with 2 dark sculpture-like small dead trees. Then the ground morphs into orangey-lime before a horizontal very dark red broken tree-line that stretches the full width of the picture about one third of the way up. On the far side are gently undulating lime fields separated by dark red hedgerows and on right an area of a mass of very dark red trees. Past more flat fields of green and pale orange, hills rise steeply on both sides rendered in various shades of green. Through the gap in the centre we see a similar V-shape of large rugged steep blue mountains with white and blue clouds in the gap and spilling over onto the mountain on the left.
