I got a recall notice on my car because the shifter cable has been known to disconnect from the transmission. Fine, whatever, I’ll bring it in. Today the dealership calls and goes “oh, yeah, they have a recall going but the manufacturer hasn’t figured out a fix yet, we’ll send you a letter.”
