Speaking of that exclusive merch, the 'Operation Tokaido' metallic cards and station-exclusive wallpapers previewed on that site look very cool. Can't see any yet for these chibi characters though!

The new psycho-frame-themed character ティーロ (Tiiro?) is voiced by Megumi Han, who also voiced Lalah Sune in Gundam The Origin (other roles inc. Gon in Hunter × Hunter & Akko in Little Witch Academia).

'A Friend from the Lights' designs are by illustrator Kanahei, best known for her hugely popular Piske & Usagi characters, and Kanahei’s Small Animals. Plus numerous collaborations spanning Pokémon, LINE and more. Page: kanaheis-small-animals.jp/works/

The 'A Friend from the Lights' accompanying merch is exceptionally great, adorable! Mini soundtrack also drops digitally on October 10th.

As of last weekend, the new 'A Friend from the Lights' animation is on display at at Fukuoka’s life-size νGundam statue. Don't miss it, if visiting - supposedly the full version features a children's choir adaptation of 'Beyond the Time'! First minute preview here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2r0...

These new STRICT-G glow in the dark tees are pretty sweet. Laughing at how the Haro one reads as 'Hello Hell' at a quick glance..! 👻 Official page: prtimes.jp/main/html/rd...

Very cool to see Bandai opening a major Gunpla production facility in Sakai, Osaka, this coming November. The Gunpla drought might finally be over, huh (would love to see more day-1 stock available for larger kits, personally)🥹 Thanks to everyone who sent a tip about this, whilst I was away!

Ok, these Zaku-themed ceramic bowls are excellent. Should already be starting to rear their heads (pun intended) at crane game centers across Japan! More info: bsp-prize.jp/item/2879145/

Bandai:"Let's name the new Gundam AU initiative 'RG Project' to mess with Gunpla fans!" Bandai:"Let's name the new Gunpla line 'XmX' to mess with XARX fans!" Partially kidding 😅 Curious how you pronounce XmX mind!

I wonder whether the edgy logo of this new (China-exclusive?) Gunpla line alludes to a more angular/spiky aesthetic, similar to some 3rd party kits… We’ll find out on the 3rd I guess!

Hobby Japan often releases interviews with higher-profile Gunpla planners/designers/engineers, via its blog - albeit a few weeks later than the printed edition. Like this one, with Mizuki Fukuda, the planning manager of the MG Full Armor ZZ Gundam Ver.Ka. hjweb.jp/article/2470...

Extra tip! Most new Gunpla (with cover illustrations) feature the cover artist’s name on the side of the box. Typically positioned in the general info dump section. Really handy reference 👌

Tip in case you weren’t aware, most Gunpla manuals are officially available digitally (some native digital files, some scans) via: manual.bandai-hobby.net ! 📚 Not sure if it requires JP VPN.

Well, I got one right at least 😅 - interesting that both the anime (XARX-ZERO) and game (Rogue Orbit) are dropping within the same Spring window - especially since Rogue Orbit is set later in the timeline. (FYI, I'm a little slow with checking in this week, whilst in Canada for work)

Did you know, that the HG Nu Gundam - First Lot Color Ver., was an exclusive gift for Gundam Fan Club premium members? Possibly the best gift they've offered to date (I'll miss you when you close next year, Gundam Fan Club).
