NYT: The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza said that airstrikes had killed at least 40 Palestinians who were attempting to flee northern Gaza by car on a main highway. Ashraf al-Qidra, a ministry spokesman, said in a WhatsApp message that the strikes had hit Salahuddin Road, Gaza’s main highway and one of the few routes to an area that Israel had said was safe. The only solution to this is construction at scale: market rate, subsidized and public. And here’s the thing, if you can jump start this process you can create a virtuous cycle in which the growing supply of home builders becomes a labor supply for public housing authorities as well.
