The FDA just approved daraxonrasib, a breakthrough drug for advanced pancreatic cancer that doubles survival time. This is huge: pancreatic cancer was once thought untreatable. The researchers received a standing ovation when they presented the trial results, unheard of at scientific conferences.

I get the impulse for autistic people to want to respond by saying that they DID go to college or play baseball or date and work. But that still plays into ableist narratives. Even if an #ActuallyAutistic person does none of these, they still have worth.

A little bit of a person's face is sticking out the clear window of the costume. A person in an inflatable frog costume stands on a rectangular, cement flower pot above a crowd of #NoKings protesters. The frog is covered in decorative black spots and is wearing a blue bandana. Nearby, two people wearing seahorse costumes, one pink and one purple, stand next to each other holding hands while other people mill around them.
