Mr. Fetterman — who has admittedly missed several votes and hearings this year and gained a reputation for frustrating progressives and criticizing his party — told reporters Monday between votes on amendments that he just wanted to “go home.”
“I've already missed our entire trip to the beach,” he said of a family vacation. “I’m going to vote no. There’s no drama … I don't think it's really helpful to put people here till some ungodly hour.”
He added that the only interesting votes would be “on the margin,” by Republican senators such as Maine’s Susan Collins and others who have expressed concerns about the bill’s cuts to Medicaid or its estimated piling of almost $3.3 trillion to the national debt over the next several years, according to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office.
Mr. Fetterman argued that he didn’t think Americans were “really going to be paying attention” to the dozens of amendments from Democrats doomed to fail under the Republican majority. “I don’t really think there’s a lot of dignity in it,” he told reporters.

It's strange that there were no emails or communication to alumni about Coro's closing, no media, little talk in policy circles. (I have no direct info on what happened.) The lack of transparency is disappointing. Coro was pivotal on my public servant journey & enriched the Pittsburgh community.
