Texas has suspended over 1.2 million voter registrations. Many valid voters in Texas have found their voter registrations were somehow canceled when they checked. Check your registration here and fix it immediately - Texas doesn't always honor provisional ballots cast on election day.

tried reading an article today and holy shit this is the worst, most onerous way of “letting” people opt out of data sharing that i’ve ever seen in my godforsaken life

ziff davis data consent form, which has strictly necessary cookies listed as always active, then performance cookies and targeted advertising turned on with toggles you cannot interact with. buried in fine print is a link that says do not share or sell my personal information

once you find the link there’s a captcha

once you pass the captcha there’s a privacy portal asking you to choose what type of action you want to take. it is not multi select and there are 9 broad options including: Delete My Information
Access My Information
Correct My Information
Opt Out of Sale or Sharing of My Information
Restrict Processing of My Information

“Since the federal funding attacks passed in July, it’s not just childcare that’s been an impossible bill for millions of New Yorkers to pay. Hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers cannot afford to see a doctor or pay for lifesaving prescriptions. Millions of New Yorkers will starve because their SNAP benefits were cut.
