FFVII event planner Jun Akiyama was responsible for creating Cid's running animation. The rest of the staff loved it so much that at one point they had all the NPCs in the towns running around like Cid. Akiyama eventually caught wind and put an end to it. (Famitsu #1224)

@maxdood.bsky.social says the Banora Crater is accessible through the Highwind in Final Fantasy VII Revelation. There's no spot on the map, but you can enter a zone and it has the archways of the dumbapples. The archway itself is destroyed, and there's exposed lifestream and busted houses around.
