Working thesis: China's bicycle industry is over-subsidised and will try to dominate the EU market, in analogy to the automotive sector. But they will do this with lightweight road bikes. If this happens: the EU's chance could be to build customized and individual "gravel"/"adventure" bikes.

A visual example (from "Transformers 4: Age of Extinction") of what I mean about Hollywood feeling a need to depict Hong Kong as far more "exotic" and "Chinese"-looking than much of it actually is.

The fake Hong Kong in "Transformers: Age of Extinction", with older, more "Chinese" looking structures (including a moon gate and arches) in what looks to be the middle/central part of a city.

Malayan tapir babies look like walking watermelons, their disruptive coloration resembling the dappled sunlight filtering through rainforest canopy to camouflage the calves in the wild. By five to six months of age, a calf will have developed the species' characteristic black-and-white saddle coat.

This year's Malayan tapir calf is the offspring of Mo-Shu, who was born at Taipei Zoo, and Putri, who came from Singapore's Mandai Wildlife Group. The calf is currently staying with her mother at the zoo's Conservation and Research Center, which is not open to the public.

While the calf is still small enough to be carried, a keeper takes the opportunity to weigh her.
