Ein weiterer wurde zum Vizepräsidenten gewählt.
Ein demokratischer Kandidat der SPD ist bei der Wahl gescheitert.
Die über die mit den Stimmen von AfD und BSW hinausgehende Mehrheit der Abgeordneten des Landtages hat ein Ergebnis zu verantworten, das uns fassungslos macht und entsetzt. Für uns gilt ausnahmslos: keine Zusammenarbeit mit Rechtsextremisten. Nicht in Regierungen und nicht im Parlament. Aufrecht ist, wer auch in der Wahlkabine zu seinem Wort steht - gerade dann, wenn niemand hinsieht. Die politische Mitte hat in diesen Zeiten mehr denn je die verdammte Pflicht, die Probleme des Landes gemeinsam zu lösen.
Die Parteien der Mitte dürfen Mehrheiten nirgends mit Extremisten bilden, nicht mit rechtsextremen Menschenfeinden, nicht mit linksextremen Antisemiten.
Wir haben in Deutschland erlebt, wie Demokratien enden.
Selten mit einem lauten Knall - meist in kleinen Schritten, mit der Übernahme von immer mehr Macht durch Extremisten. Das darf sich nicht wiederholen.
