On this day in 1839, Frances Willard was born. She became a social reformer and the president of the Woman’s Christian Temperance Union, the nineteenth century’s largest U.S. organization of women. Willard championed woman suffrage and also mobilized to raise marriage ages for girls. #WeTheMen
