Midsummer was a very busy time for Old Fox. He rose even earlier than usual, long before first light, gathering baskets of flowers & leaves for the cottage wreaths – long fennel & dog daisies, green birch, Maiden’s lily & St John's Wort, wild roses & sweet plumes of meadowsweet.

@ticketmaster.com You really should review your app for purchases. I bought 2 tickets for Take That, then another two in the same row for family we realised could come. 1 empty seat next to those 4. Your app & website refused to sell it to me for another family member. So it sat empty all night 🙄

A lovely walk yesterday up High Rigg to mark what would have been my dear friend Jamie Normington's 54th birthday. 1st Wainwright of 2026. Snow on Helvellyn range. Toasted his 'wild & precious life' at the top. He sent us a dipper to watch in St John's Beck as we walked back to the car.

Last night I drove Mrs S & two of her friends to Blackpool - so they could see a musical at the Opera House. I had a chippy tea whilst sat on the promenade at Anchorsholme. Took some Sun-set views. It was hard to tell where the sea ended and the sky began. 1st two are Canon DSLR lastvonevis iPhone.
