Maybe you could call in your order, then walk over and just grab it and pay. So you're not standing there in the car line like a dummy. For very long at least.

So what this tells me is: Red zone passing is really hard. And Geno's doing OK. Not great, but better than I thought.

And now for some all-time greats (since '94 - that's as far back as Pro Football Reference keeps these stats.) Tom Brady - 465 TDs on 1788 red zone passes (26.01%) Peyton Manning - 354 for 1341 (26.4%) Aaron Rogers - 346 for 1320 (26.21%)

It may well be that somebody can get better red zone performance out of Geno - I'm optimistic they can - but nobody ever has.

I tried to look this up, but I want to find another source. From what I can see on Pro Football Reference, Geno's red zone stats are very similar (tho slightly improved, which you'd expect) from his time with the Jets.

Table of red zone stats for Geno Smith, listing four teams. I will ignore the stats for NYG and LAC, because he only ran four red zone plays with those teams.

His NYJ stats say he was behind center for 103 red zone passing plays. He averaged first downs on 28.2% and scored 19 TDs (18.45% TD rate). He also had 3 INTs and 1 fumble.

With the Seahawks, he has thrown 212 red zone passes, scoring 47 TDs (22.17% TD rate), with 7 INTs and 0 fumbles.

How is Grubb responsible for a problem that's existed for three years, and has actually improved under his watch for the team generally, if not the QB specifically? I love Geno, but he has issues in the red zone. This problem was obvious last season too.

This throw was truly elite level. Yeah, I get frustrated with the picks too, but that's life with a gunslinger. There's simply nothing out there that's a.) available and b.) in the same league as Geno. I dunno, maybe we get in a bidding war for Darnold. I personally don't think he's better.
