WTF is up with Games Workshop recently?? The last two boxes I’ve gotten, the transfer sheet is ON TOP of the protective sheet! My custodes transfers were scratched & damaged, got a replacement sheet through my FLGS. Now my Knights box came with the same problem! Billion dollar company… #warhammer40k

A very different kind of Citadel Miniatures space ship: the USS Grissom. The vessel was just one of several starships that were released by Citadel in the mid-80s. The sculpts, and the Star Trek Roleplaying game they were designed for, were licenced from FASA for casting & release in the UK.

I wanted free time in February to paint but life got in the way, glad I could get back to it with my first handful of Warhammer 40K Red Corsairs (Legionaries kit) and Thousand Sons Scarab Occult Terminators. I think hopping between different kits & schemes helps keep my attention longer #Paintslam26

Was gonna ignore Warhammer Heroes series 6 cause box doesn’t guarantee all the models like previous space marine heroes boxes did, but then found on Reddit people reported the unique codes, and was able to find all but the sergeant. Will paint as my custom chapter (&ordered the sarg from a reseller)

Instead of doing the sensible thing & working on my 30K Salamanders I decided to try painting some Thousand Sons using a ghost scheme I saw on Reddit. Really happy with the results, except the Mordant Earth didn’t really work, I guess I need to put it on thicker. Oops. (My first try with it)

New Sicarius is fine, looks good. BUT NEW CALGAR? WHY? Absolutely ridiculous. GW actively killing off other big name character models but releases a SECOND Primaris Calgar? Calling the first half of my first Horus Heresy Salamanders tactical squad done apart from varnishing, happy with my first try but learnt a lot about the MK6 armour. Surprised I had no trouble with the tiny transfers on the legs lol. The base is orange to match my Legions Imperialis Salamander army.

Finally finished my first Warhammer 40K Space Wolves minis, a squad of Blood Claws. Life & video games kept getting in the way but I’m glad they’re done, my least worst paint job yet, happy with how they turned out. Drybrushing highlights+ marine juice+ contrast paint faces did the heavy lifting

1. Prime grey
2. Heavy drybrush Russ grey
3. Light drybrush fenrisian grey
4. Black bits, metal bits
5. Dark brown ropes, belt, pouch
6. Skeleton horde on the wolf claws
7. Averland sunset yellow shoulders with light flash gitz yellow on top
8. Transfers
9. Marine juice wash

Combat Patrol magazine went on sale in Japan, 499 yen for two models that sell for 12,400 yen direct from GW…🙄 The big chain store Yodobashi had a 1/customer rule (they are constantly being drained of Gunpla stock by tourists) but the nearby bookstore had tons so I got 3 more to make custom minis
