To anyone seeing this post, I really recommend giving #LimbusCompany a try. I know that the Gatcha genre, Korean-only VA, and visual novel storytelling style might turn some people down, but this game has a superb story worth experiencing.

I just received an achievement on Royal Road for officially having 25,000 people look at the story I currently have on hiatus and I'm trying real hard to believe that Dead Internet Theory isn't a thing and that the 500 people that made it all the way to the end of the chapters are real. Awesome!

The main selling point of a #TTRPG is not mechanical. It is PREMISE. What do you do in the game? Why? This is why "genre-less rules engines" like GURPS have not slowly consumed and spit out the market leaders. "It can be ANYTHING!" "NO! In #Dnd you go in holes and murder things for gold."

Just finished Ending A of Limbus Company's Canto 10 and I'm genuinely struck by the creativity and raw narrative excellence that Project Moon continues to achieve in a fucking Gacha Game. They taken the model of live service and have created a story so rich in history and connections that I weep.

Ed was in a fucked up position. He knew it. His typical apolitical stance was being challenged in a way it never had been before. He told me that the words
"Free Palestine" and the image of the Palestinian flag were hurtful to a lot of people he spoke with. I told him that if those words were more offensive than tens of thousands of Palestinian children being killed by Israel, then there was a fundamental disconnect between where those people stood and where I stood. But he couldn't get past his public facing, "I don't take sides."

I love what #Deadzoner does with items. Typically with traditional Roguelites, you get an inventory of stuff that you have to be aware of to use against enemies. But the inventory becomes unwieldy and filled with stuff that you don't remember to use or want to save for a rainy day.

I'm finally getting closer to a playable state. The game has been playable for a month now but I've been filling the world with stuff to do so that the play test can be expensive. I'm very excited about how things are turning out. And for those wondering, this was built to be a Solo Game!

Breakdown of Play

This section describes what a player can do in the Exploration Phase of What Rotten Muck.

Three Monsters of Tier 3 Difficulty.

Grid Combat in the game involves you rolling your Weapon Strength and moving through the grid equal to the number of tiles rolled. Landing on an occupied tile causes it to be Struck Through.

A Solo Specific Combat Management Sheet. All of the information you need to run a Crew of 4 Characters (Worms) in a combat encounter

I've been through Montabi over and over again and I've got to say that they've nailed combining aspects of Slay the Spire with Battle Network and Pokemon. I've been making my way to Ascension 10 and the game has been so riveting, trying to find team combinations that work well together.
