Scottish independence isn’t anti-English, it’s pro-democracy. I believe all four nations deserve to shape their own futures as equals, not as colonies. That includes Scotland’s independence and Ireland’s reunification. Neighbours. Not subjects of the union.

Having voted to axe the winter fuel payment, Labour in Scotland now want a vote on bringing back a means tested version so they can take credit for 'reinstating' the payment. Sarwar's opportunistic hypocrisy is breath taking. As always, it's about what's good for the Labour party.
