It would be helpful to start the discussion with, what is freedom of movement. What the UK had and what is allowed were not the same thing. It is possible to restrict movement and not be in breach. It is a freedom to seek work, it was never a freedom to claim benefits and this was never explained.

3/ The WSJ reports the goal of the Ilhan Omar investigation is to strip her citizenship and deport her, based on paperwork her father filled out when she was a child. Agents took her phone, computers and passport. She's on the ballot in three weeks.

Re the Sally Rooney news, I was looking up data on arrests under terrorism legislation the other day, and hadn't quite realised how utterly bonkers the effect of the Palestine Action prohibition had been. That big purple spike is basically all PA-related arrests.

always worth remembering the years leading upto the referendum poisoned the debate, lies around immigration, bendy bananas etc. Putting the blame onto Russia is a nice get out for politicians and media who are really to blame.

I really don’t want to be too harsh, how bad is mental health issue, but lots of people want a certain career, but that’s not how life works for many. A job is a job. Go to a care home for example and they will probably have work. And if she wants to be a writer maybe do it in spare time?
