It’s always a shame when you see there’s genuine interest in what’s being presented, but it’s not quite right. This happened with another namco documentary I saw not long ago where I wish I could’ve froze the video and fixed the errors myself. 😭 Namco history is niche enough, this never helps.

It's interesting how bamco studios simply don’t have faith or interest in handling 3D outings internally, but always have involvement in the maze games. Makes me truthfully worried that the future of maze games could just be more live-service games that crash and burn, or another "reinvention".

Hopefully my grudge for CE2 lessens overtime, this game has genuinely haunted me for so long. Now that I don’t have to sweat to play this, I might just appreciate it more now. Especially since it is the last mainline Pac-Man title that isn’t a remake, de-make or delisted live-service title #27.

I felt the same way too, I'll try to source the article asap, it's a 2007 CE interview from Iguchi, there's a lot of neat info from it too imo. More specifically, the arrangement titles were made as a test for new namco hires that didn't understand what made their classics "click".

This also extends to arrangement 96 as well, Tadashi Iguchi has always been tasked with this unfortunate mission, not long ago I learned he was heavily involved on pac n roll too. He really never caught a break lol.
