Meta’s decision to ban ads about politics, elections, and social issues on their platforms like Facebook and Instagram in the EU is now implemented. This is the new policy. Any ad about fx elections, civil rights, economy, health, climate, immigration, or foreign policy is now (presumably) banned.

When I started my journey in sci-com / media / journalism studies in 2011 I was told the years ahead would be brutal for both brands and journalists. I never expected it to go this bad, I must confess. The reputational damage to legacy news media, as a whole, will probably be irreversible.

As evil as he is, DT isn't a traitor or a liar. He did not lie/ deceive/ betray anyone. He is doing exactly what he said he would do, fulfilling his image of what the country should be. The "traitor/liar" narrative will only perpetuate the ideological issues at the core of contemporary US politics.

Looking at metrics for the past year for www.obercom.pt (research centre for comm.sci. and media studies). ChatGPT on the rise in regards to referral but one thing we're noticing is that people coming in through ChatGPT have much higher avg. engagement time/session. Anyone else noticing this?
