The city of Inglewood announced the public-private partnership that will build the shuttle service from the K and C lines to SoFi/Intuit Dome/the Forum. Construction is set to start this fall and will be ready for 2028. This also doesn't rule out a people mover being built here eventually

LA is building a new $1.5 billion freeway into LAX. The very same airport where we just spent $2 billion on the people mover — actually, more like $3 billion, plus another $900 million if you count Metro's investment in the LAX station; so let's just say $4 billion — to make cars go away

Today, the state of California passed a budget that protects $1.1 billion in previously promised transit relief funds and provides a new $750 million loan to BART, Muni, Caltrain and AC Transit. This will stave off severe service cuts.

This is pretty insane. I've never seen this level of coordination in transit advocacy across the state before. It's been a tough year. Our politicians have failed to solve transit funding problems for many years, and now everything is down to the wire in a bad budget year.
