I was planning to re-open my shop yesterday after a summer break, but my health wouldn’t let me finish any of the new things I had planned, and I‘m also not done yet making changes to the shop to suit all of those new regulations (PPWR among others). Better luck at the end of September I hope..

BIS AUF WEITERES GEBE ICH DIE SCHÄTZUNG FÜR DIE INZIDENZ INKL. DZF 180|VARIABEL AN.

Die Normalisierung führte in den letzten Wochen in Folge der Trockenheit zu wesentlich niedrigeren AMELAG-Daten als ohne Normalisierung: Durch Konzentration der Abwässer werden ohne Normalisierung überhöhte Werte für die Viruslast gemessen. In Folge der jüngsten Niederschläge haben sich die Werte jetzt wieder angeglichen (der normalisierte Wert ist sehr stark gestiegen, während der NN-Wert fast konstant geblieben ist).

Die Grafik zeigt einen übersichtlichen Teil der Daten ab April 2026:
- blau: Berichtsdaten (FT-korrigiert)
- rot: Meldedaten (adjustiert)
- braune Kleckse: modellierte Inzidenz nach den normalisierten Amelag-Daten
- braun: Zentriertes und zentral höher gewichtetes 5-Wochen-Mittel
- grün: Inzidenz inkl. aus den AMELAG-Daten berechnetem Dunkelzifferfaktor.

Im unteren Bereich stehen die R-Werte der Fallmeldungen (nach Berichts- und Meldedatum, weil mal das eine, mal das andere plausibler ist) und der AMELAG-5W-Mittel und der R-Wert der normalisierten AMELAG-Daten.

Inzwischen steigen die Fallmeldungen, die Inzidenz inkl. DZF und die Viruslast im Abwasser wieder deutlich an.

“If it’s that bad you should go to the hospital”. The hospital is not a solution for many disabled people. Most of us have endured severe medical trauma. ERs are not equipped to deal with complex chronic illness and will often make a bad situation worse. We can’t “just” go to the hospital.

The licensing stuff isn‘t that expensive, but the documentation of everything takes a lot of time and knowledge I don‘t have, and having a representative in each country is simply not possible for most small businesses because it‘s far too expensive.

It‘s the new PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation) rules. They‘re actually for the whole EU, not just Germany, if I understood correctly.. while some of those rules will be good for the environment, they‘re implemented rather poorly and are just not sustainable for small businesses.

Shipping outside of Germany will only be available until August 7th! Due to new regulations enforced from August 12th I won’t be able to afford shipping outside of Germany anymore, just like so many other small businesses. 🙃 My shop will then stay closed from August 8th until the end of the month.
