The truth here is so ever relevant, is so simple and profound. I think I might pop it into my next book. Sharing yet again:

Socialism is what they called public power. Socialism is what they called social security. Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations. Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people. —Harry Truman, 1952

I finally got access to Figma's AI tools, and I am pretty sure they have halted development on it. I had heard it was garbage at launch, and it doesn't appear to have gotten any better a year later.

xAI being valued at 80 billion is laughable. Grok provides zero value in a flooded market of overvalued AI companies.

Does @figma.com support hidden components anymore? I want to use them for situations where I need to swap out variants in a top level component, but the library updates never make it to my design file.

What are y’all using to do animations? I want to do some fun micro interactions for AICE, but most tools I’ve seen are way too complex for that kind of work. I recently tried Lottie Lab, but the Figma import and design tools are lacking.

A screenshot of text stating:
"The University of Colorado took down its main D.E.I. webpage, and posted a new page for an Office of Collaboration."

The text suggests that the university has replaced its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (D.E.I.) webpage with a new office focused on collaboration. The emphasis on this change might indicate a shift in policy or branding regarding diversity initiatives.

Been building a design system, essentially from scratch (some of the tokens being borrowed from other design systems), and it is a ton of fun, but maaaan, the amount of documentation takes time. Always good to remember that design systems start small for a reason.
