Pro tip for anyone using legal AI MS Word plugins: if the addin button is mysteriously greyed out, check the file format. Many plugins only work on .docx, not .doc. And yes lots of legal precedents still live in .doc. Convert to .docx and moveon #legalAI #legaltech

everyone complains about people always chasing the T-14 but not enough people complain about how the T-14 is holding everyone back

Numerous top-tier law schools, like Yale and the University of Chicago, oppose the measure, with a majority of the “T14s” providing comments in opposition.

Most of the comments in support of the proposal received from law schools were faculty, not deans. And in some cases, faculty wrote in support of the increase while their deans wrote in opposition.

it's jolting how little AI skepticism has reached the general public. i've had many acquaintances ask whether i use AI for research and seem shocked when i tell them it's completely useless for that purpose. my wife recently told her colleagues about hallucinations and it was news to all of them.
