Harper is correct that adjuncts are badly exploited, including by schools with endowments far larger than Bates's. But some of his broad assertions are incorrect or reflect a failure to dig into the facts for perspective. Saying so is not a "cope." It's fair criticism.

This is (one of) the problems with NY's lawyer disciplinary system. It's clear that Sarcone, the Acting First Assistant U.S. Attorney, received a private admonition or letter of caution for making false statements. But the actual sanction and findings are concealed.

The disciplinary authority has abdicated its responsibility. There is a clear ethics rule on this topic. It's within the disciplinary agency's jurisdiction. There is no reason for the State Bar to say that the court must address it...other than that the Bar does not want to touch it.
