As it happens, my boyfriend and I got to talking "who would you rather have as a boyfriend? Bear (Obsession) or the Phantom of the Opera?" We strongly concluded that the Phantom would make the better partner, with my boyfriend adding "you gotta respect someone with a labyrinth". Wise words.

The former, generally! I'm interested in how game designers are building the scaffolding to encourage players embracing negative consequences. I'm learning Cthulhu Dark, for example, and how failure can happen when players decide it'll make for a more delicious story, and that stuff fascinates me
