You’ve already been introduced to this dumbarse, but you have yet to meet the others. So in no particular order I present! ## The Arisen ### Fion The face of a hero? A half-elf whose merchant parents settled briefly in Melve before one of the attacks upon it incinerated them both. Needless to say, that was enough for the young man to join the local guard and eventually end up as one of the chosen Arisen. He has a calm and heroic nature. He summoned Astella entirely by accident. And he will likely eventually land on the throne and be subsequently ground to dust by the Senechal in a similar manner. With the release of the DLC however we will have to see if his fate changes… ## Amir A cycle-breaker, perhaps? An Arisen from an almost parallel continuity to the canon DD2. Except…a dragon in Battahl?! He comes from a mish-mash of peoples. His father: beastran. His mother: battahli human with a little bit of elf somewhere up her lineage. Personality wise, he is rather aloof with a dry sense of humour. Underneath that lies both kindness and a bubbling rage that he keeps tightly under wraps. He doesn’t want to repeat the passionate displays of his youth. Before the dragon he was perpetually between jobs. A skill combatant for sure, but he had no taste for blood. When the dragon lands he is living alone at the outskirts of the city and he only faces it to keep it from harming others near by. The event forces him back to Bakbattahl and into political and religious conflicts he never thought he’d see the like of. He even teams up with Phaesus! I might actually properly write that tale out one day. Maybe. ## The Pawns ### Astella ### Hazel Would be, if he could be… The main pawn of Amir, who was summoned to be like a little brother to fight by his side. Consequently, Hazel is a lot like Amir was in his youth: rude, brash and aggressive. He wants to be like his master but he is far too immature as yet. He is a mage, albeit one that much prefers roasting enemies to healing allies. He frequently is teamed up with Astella and Baker by some horrid twist of fate. Astella pisses him off, consistently. How can someone who is supposedly so experienced be so careless?! And Baker…needs to toughen up! ### Baker Sugar, spice and everything nice? A sweet beastran fighter pawn, who was abandoned by his original master. He wants to protect everyone and yet simultaneously, feels like he cannot protect anyone. One hopes with some gentle care he can grow into something more than a sad cat. And that is that, for now! Stay well friends!
