Public transport isn't just for Middle Earth. Narnia's getting in on the act! I've drawn a subway map covering all 7 books of The Chronicles of Narnia. Follow the plots lines, but don't touch the third rail! #Narnia #Maps #Subway You can buy prints on my Etsy store: www.etsy.com/listing/4345...
A subway style map on a parchment background. The map's title reads: "Narnia Transit Map: Talking Beasts Ride Free." The map has seven keys, one for each of the seven books in C.S. Lewis's Narinia series. The main movements of characters and action in each book are traced by colored lines, like a subway map. Locations in each book are marked out as stops in the lines. There is a drawing of a lion above the title of the map, and in the lower right corner there is a compass rose.

I recognized this road straight away, having only driven it once in the winter of 2022. Truly stunning in any season. When I was there it was completely covered in ice and the tree branches looked like they'd been hung with crystals.

Apropos of nothing, I really like this iconography, even if it's a bit novel. Usually you see a saint facing you and blessing you. I like this "communion of saints" approach where they're facing the same way you are and doing the same thing you are... and where you don't know all of them yet

fun fact: Halloween in the north of England used to be known as nut-crack night. people would mark nuts with the names of lovers and place them around a fire. nuts that sizzled, spat or jumped indicated romantic incompatibility. nuts that burned together suggested peaceful, happy partnerships.
Two books sit on a wooden window sill in our reading room, looking out onto the museum garden. The first book is titled "An English Almanac". Its cover features beautiful illustrations related to astrology. The second book is titled "The English Festivals", and features a blue cover adorned with musical patterns and illustrated instruments.

Love some penny news! I feel compelled to point out that a soda for 100 pennies is not free. That is a soda for $1...
A screenshot from the article linked below. It reads
"One convenience store chain, Sheetz, got so desperate for pennies that it briefly ran a promotion offering a free soda to customers who bring in 100 pennies"
A free soda and who bring in 100 pennies has been highlighted by me
