Nerd alert: I’ve said this before—our brains are hardwired to give more weight to negative stimuli. Generally, it benefits survival to remember where the tiger hides to ambush us over where pretty flowers grow. Negatives *instinctively* trump positives even when it’s not life threatening. 1/2
