『名将たちの勝負メシ』おもしろいけど、最近、本郷和人先生が出なくなって、他の方は悪いわけじゃないけどどうも予定原稿読んでるみたいだなあとちょっと興ざめだった。それが、今配信の源頼朝は、6月ぐらいの放送だったらしいけど、本郷先生で、やっぱりおもしろい。最新とはいえ、何度も聞いたような話だけど（前に『さよ』というのを書いたときこの時代のこと調べまくったし、鎌倉殿も見たし）それでもよく内容を知っている専門家は、どんどん違うニュアンスで繰り返してきて、まじおもしろい。同じ話もくりかえしかたによるんだなあと改めて実感。

まあその商業芸術というか翻訳やなんかの業として仕事をしている人が「AIの仕事で満足する顧客によって我々は職を奪われる」というのは自分たちvsAIではなく、自分たちvs顧客の構図にしてわざわざタゲ取りに行っているようにしか見えず、客を責めてどうすんのって思っちゃうですぅ。

原子力では国際原子力機関（IAEA）が安全基準シリーズを公表しており、航空分野では国際民間航空機関（ICAO）の第19付属書で安全管理の基準が設けられています。ビジネスの論理でこうした制度設計に反対する声もあると思いますが、テック企業が引き起こす社会的災害の深刻さは、すでに表面化し始めており、安全基準の強化は避けがたい流れになっていると思います。人工知能の将来はビジネスパーソンに任せるにはあまりにも重要な問題です。

Hôtel Fort St Laurent sits on top of one of the plateaus in Lyon, France. From there we had a commanding view of the entire city. This was one of the many set of stairs and passageways that weaved its way down to the river. I took great pleasure from simply letting myself by guided by the urban environment.

Many years ago I read a book called “A Timeless Way of Building” which had a lasting impact on the way I view architecture. By understanding that patterns should emerge naturally and organically based on the people who live in the environment, I was able to immerse myself as we adventured through the streets and alleys.

I didn’t expect Lyon to be one of my favourite places I’ve ever visited. It was only through these trips up and down the hill that I realised that it was timeless in its design. It’s something we often lose as we repurpose ours cities for higher density.

Rarely are developers concerned about how people will interact and live in the environments they are creating (or destroying). Profits are at the heart of the way we treat housing at home. Places are not reno’d, retrofitted, or modified to meet the changing needs of our cities. They’re simply levelled and rebuilt in whatever style (or lack there of) a developers sees as the quickest way to convert someone’s need for housing into a source of revenue.

Dolly, I visited her new ‘Truck Stop’ in Tennessee. The merchandise was so freaking cute and there was plenty of it. You can buy Dolly style things, a BBQ sandwich, fill up your tank, grab some beer, let your dog 🐕 pee, take a shower, wash clothes, see her tour bus and instruments everywhere.
