Got my nails done today! Very autumny and fresh. Did it at the spa that is owned and run by the same people that own and run the carpenter that I trust to build on my properties. Today they also delivered a box of pastries at my door. I have NO idea what I would do without these people 💗

It's just never-ending with these roofs and useless a-holes. This is under a terrace where we currently live. It's from 2024... The company that doesn't even want to come see what they might have done wrong got a very stern letter from my lawyer today. Consumer rights in Norway are good.

Went to my eye surgeon today, aftercare for my lens replacement last year, and he was surprised I could see much, and astonished that I still could embroider. Obviously I've adapted to having a common issue, just a LOT of it. I was told "a few laser zaps", but I lost count...

I haven’t posted about our building site in a while now, and there are several reasons for that. I haven’t been very much active or present anywhere online lately. Talking about this on umpteen different platforms and channels just isn’t good for me. So this is what is up:

PUPPIES! These are SikkSakk's puppies, one of the dogs from our litter 3 1/2 years ago. We are not getting any of them, but we will definitely do our part in socializing and loving them up over the next weeks 💗 #alaskahusky #dog #petsofbluesky #dogsofbluesky #dogs #sleddogs #husky

Fatigue-season started today! At least I had to lay down somewhere pretty. The photos are taken upside-down, my phone saved them right-way-up 🙄 At least nobody saw me and tried to "help". People making a fuss really does not help at all! #chronicpain #spoonie #fibromyalgia #fibrofighter

Tried something new with Rufus today, put on his harness and a new tracking collar, and tied him in a long rope leash in the garden. He got stuck about a bazillion times, but enjoyed himself and I could do other stuff. #caturdayeveryday #caturday #catsofbluesky #cats #petsofbluesky

I'm dealing sharp pain where my neck, back and right shoulder meets, that I can't figure out. It doesn't make sense that I can garden for hours with no pain, then go inside to eat in AGONY, and no pain again when back in the garden after. I also can not just walk without added pain, nor sit upright.

Lexidh Solstad @lexidh.catpasity.com · 08/09/2026

I spruced up the area around the front door, now that it's actually possible to make it look good and not like I tried slapping makeup on a pig. My vocational training as a decorator finally at use, well worth the three years of schooling, right? 😀

The #garden is winding down, mostly peppers left in the #greenhouse now, and potatoes. I haven't even started on the actual potato patch yet 😬 Felix guards the ones in the cellar, if he is allowed #caturdayeveryday #caturday #catsofbluesky #cats #petsofbluesky #mainecoon #vegetablegarden #gardening

I mean... you know... I don't want to talk about it, really. Could we start building soon? Like... not tearing down, but actually adding to what was there before and not just rearranging it and ripping up things from under a year ago? Please? I know they are doing good work, I'm just so tired.

Took SikkSakk (one of the dogs from our litter 3 years ago) to the vet to count puppies! Looks like there is 5 of them in there =) She is big as a whale and all smiles! We just get the good parts of this deal, puppy cuddles! #alaskahusky #dog #petsofbluesky #dogsofbluesky #dogs #sleddogs #husky

One of the reasons of my absence from Bsky is this project. I've emptied out most of the kitchen (everything not under the counter) for disassembly, since we have to change the roof due to water damage. It pisses me off. And I've done it by myself. Ugh.

It's been a rough, sad and extremely busy few weeks. It's not going to be less busy from now on, but at least I've had a great time this weekend, and now I don't have any other options than to take it easy, as autumn already hits us hard. #chronicpain #spoonie #fibromyalgia #fibrofighter #fibro

The digger is back, and this week they actually STARTED the project that was supposed to be finished in April this year, woho! 🙄 So now we can pour some concrete next week, and the builder is starting on our garage, it needs a firewall for safety reasons, and a new roof.

I'm sorry for going AWOL for a few days again =/ I just don't have the mental space for everything going on, and definitely not the hours in a day for the things I need to do before we go to Spain to be toasted alive, including stressing out over a thankfully cancelled airline strike.

This is one of many reasons why Rufus is an indoor cat. He'll sneak into any car he can, and I'd have to drive after his GPS signal to find him... Also, he does not fear dogs, and insists they are all his friend 😬 #caturdayeveryday #caturday #catsofbluesky #cats #petsofbluesky #mainecoon

I'm not running a cat food store, but I do have a substantial emergency stock of cat food. I just rotated the big bags, those get donated to cat rescues when they are almost at the use by-date. This time the stock went to Ukraine! I buy a lot of kitten food as stock, rescues always need that!

Oh the "joy" of home ownership. I own a rental company, and there are four homes, plus a whole lot of side buildings. I sent my regular carpenter up to one of the homes today, to check it for stuff that needed fixing, and he sent me this. Ugh. That's ALL the earnings for this year gone!

I took my cornrows out today, with the help of some tame teenagers. No way I could run a hairbrush through that! Half a pot of hair mask later and it looks somewhat normal, and I can brush it. That includes taking out a month worth of shedding, so it looks kind scaring 😬
