Also, I only learned this like a week ago. The iPhone will let you copy-paste text directly out of a photo. That makes alt text so easy for word-centric images. It’s starting to feel like I’m the only one here who didn’t know this…

It’s valid to debate kids using bikes and scooters, the need for speed limiters on e-bikes, and marketing them as toys. But this story is essentially saying: “Stores Sell Legal Products; Health Experts Warn of Dangers to Kids” Why were hidden cameras needed to report on a legal activity?

Buried and mentioned only briefly in this story: These are legal sell. Most stores reminded the “undercover” shoppers of safety guidelines. Feels like the CBC made questionable editorial decisions in presenting this as a shocking exposé. (I’m not Canadian; I’m happy to learn what I’m missing.)

CBC News story: Stores are allowed to sell the e-bikes no matter how fast they go, but Michael Pasquali, founder of the Canadian Electric Bicycle Association (CEBA), says it's "heartbreaking."

The season is ending, so I’ll say this. I have seen 1,001 ads for the Twins season ticket/loyalty/discount program. And I have no understanding of how it actually works. It’s sounds weirdly… complicated. Twins are the only MLB team that requires a math or economics degree to buy tickets.

I admit I usually skip to the end of user terms & click OK. I tried the Spotify pre-save function for Tegan & Sara’s new song. Holy hell… look at the permissions Universal Music wants. Delete & add to your library! Edit private playlists! This is galling even in our age of corporate imperialism.
