Great to see my friend Hunter on this list. 🌈 Minnesota’s House is a 67-67 tie, our Senate 34-33. We have our work to do; especially in the suburb/exurbs to make sure voters are showing up for folks who will move our state forward.

we tracked months of rent payments to an estimated 13,000 families. the expected cost of rehousing those families, had they entered eviction, would be north of $218 million dollars. keeping them housed cost around $38-40 million

Early detection, knowing the symptoms, and sharing the knowledge with the women you know is vital. know the symptoms and share the knowledge! Please read and share the attached information sheets, and visit www.foundationforwomenscancer.org for more information. You may just help save a life! 2/
• Endometrial cancer, also known as uterine
cancer, is the most common gynecologic
cancer
• 85% of women with endometrial cancer
survive because of early detection
• Three out of four women are diagnosed at
Stage I
• Endometrial cancer usually occurs around the
time of menopause, but younger women are
also at risk
Symptoms
• Abnormal vaginal bleeding; younger women
should note irregular or heavy vaginal bleeding
• Bleeding after menopause
• A watery pink or white discharge from the vagina
• Two or more weeks of persistent pain in the
lower abdomen or pelvic area
• Pain during sexual intercourse
Stages of Endometrial Cancer
Over 90% of women diagnosed with endometrial
cancer say that they experienced abnormal
vaginal bleeding prior to their diagnosis.
Please see a gynecologist or gynecologic
oncologist and ask about an endometrial biopsy
if you experience any of these symptoms.• Most cases of cervical cancer are now
preventable
• Vaccinating young children before they
become sexually active can prevent cervical
precancer and cancer
• Regular Pap tests and HPV testing at
recommended intervals are equally important
in preventing cervical cancer
Symptoms
• Vaginal odor
• Pain
• Bleeding after intercourse
• Excessive discharge and abnormal
bleeding between periods
Stages of Cervical Cancer
These symptoms may be caused by cancer or
by other health problems. It is important for a
woman to see her doctor if she is having any
of these symptoms.
Most women will have no symptoms, so getting
vaccinations and regular Pap tests plus HPV
tests when recommended is key to preventing
cervical cancer.• Only 15% of all ovarian cancer cases are
detected at the earliest, most curable stage
• One in 71 women will develop ovarian cancer
in her lifetime
• Ovarian cancer is the fifth leading cause of
cancer death in women
Symptoms
• Bloating
• Urinary symptoms, urgency or frequency
• Pelvic or abdominal pain
• Difficulty eating or feeling full quickly
Stages of Ovarian Cancer
These symptoms are particularly concerning
if they occur almost daily for a few weeks
or more. If this happens to you, see a doctor,
preferably a gynecologist, and specifically ask
about the possibility of ovarian cancer as a
cause of your symptoms.
If ovarian cancer is suspected or diagnosed,
seek care first from a gynecologic oncologist.• Vaginal cancer begins in the vagina, the
muscular tube that connects the outer part
of the female genitalia (vulva) to the uterus.
Most vaginal cancers occur in the lining of
the vagina
• The vulva includes the labia majora (outer
lips), the labia minora (inner lips), the clitoris
and the opening of the vagina. Vulvar cancer
most often affects the inner edges of the
labia majora or the labia minora
Symptoms of Vaginal Cancer
• Unusual vaginal bleeding
• Bleeding after vaginal sex
• Pain
• Problems with urination or bowel movements
• Watery discharge
• Lump or mass in the vagina
Symptoms of Vulvar Cancer
• Chronic itching
• Abnormal bleeding or discharge
• Skin color changes (lighter or darker, red or pink)
• Bump or lump with wart-like or raw surfaces
• Open sore
See a doctor if you experience any symptoms.

Don’t read Frazier's 35.95% as a sign that Hennepin voters don’t want a progressive attorney. The data says the opposite. To start: Frazier finished first in 227 of 394 precincts. Folk: 1st in 74, 2nd in 115, and 3rd-5th in 206 (more than half the precincts in Hennepin County).

Today, the federal government has issued a final rule on one of their proposals to limit gender affirming care for youth; the rule which prohibits Medicaid reimbursements will go into effect October 13th. It's a bad rule, but it's less catastrophic than its companion rule. And it will be challenged.

For Minnesotans: 1. This rule is limited to federal reimbursement for medical gender care for youth under Medicaid - it does not change the legality of those services. 2. Gender affirming care remains legal in our state, and Minnesota *must* continue to reimburse and provide care under our laws.

senator hoffman has released a new statement regarding angie craig’s actions towards him, released via EMQ’s Facebook: she is so cooked
From Senator Erin Maye Quade on Facebook:

“Statement from Senator John Hoffman:

Congresswoman Craig went on FOX 9 this morning and declared that what I said was “emphatically” untrue. Her campaign has also characterized my account as “categorically false.”

Let me be equally clear: I told the truth about what Yvette and I experienced.

The screenshots released by her campaign show direct text messages from Congresswoman Craig. They do not address the substance of what I said: that a dear and trusted friend approached us twice on her behalf regarding an endorsement, once while I was in the ICU and again while I was recovering at home.

That friend confirmed that the endorsement requests came from Congresswoman Craig. Yvette was also present for these conversations. I did not invent them, and I will not allow our family’s experience to be dismissed simply because it is politically uncomfortable.”“I acknowledge that Congresswoman Craig sent a message expressing sympathy after the shooting. My remarks addressed the endorsement requests that followed and the painful impression those requests left on our family while we were trying to survive and recover. It is dishonest to give condolences and then immediately ask for endorsement like her text showed.

Peggy Flanagan’s repeated contacts with our family were different. Peggy reached out simply to ask whether Yvette, Hope, and I were okay. She sought nothing in return.

My remarks were about that contrast, and I remain accountable for every word I said. Congresswoman Craig may disagree with my endorsement. She may defend her campaign’s conduct. But she does not get to rewrite what my family experienced or publicly attack my honesty.

After everything Yvette, Hope, and I have endured, we deserve better than having our trauma turned against us for political damage control.

A pink background with a trans flag on it reading THE PLEDGE FOR TRANS LIBERATION.The consultant class of the Democratic party has been pushing the narrative that trans rights are an election loser. But with the Trump administration pushing hard to eradicate transgender people from society, we need our democratic leaders to step up and support us. The consultant class thinks candidates will fail if they do this.

We are calling their bluff.Numerous candidates have already signed on to protect trans minnesotans in office.

The slide then has the logos for: Peggy Flanagan for US Senate, Adam Jennings, Dan Wolgamott and Zack Filipovich for state auditor, Cedrick Frazier, Hao Nguyen, and Anders Folk for Hennepin County Attorney, and Athena Hollins, Doron Clark, Scott Dibble, and Anquam Mahamoud for MN Legislature. We can ask and receive better from our elected officials.

This is one of the things that really shows how shortsighted Frey's decision is. Landlords rarely get paid when they evict someone, even in the long run.
