![One of the most commonly shared trivia about Super Mario Bros. is about how the bushes are just the clouds, but recolored.

While this is of course true, it is not 100% accurate since the bushes do not use the full cloud graphic. What you see of the bush object is all that exists - there is no hidden lower part obscured behind the ground tiles.
However, in the Super Mario Bros. microgame in WarioWare: Twisted, something is different...
Disabling the foreground layer reveals that here, the bushes are in fact using the full cloud graphic, recolored and hidden halfway below the ground!
The graphics are actually the same now.
