I'm going to a spiritual healing retreat (edm fest) this weekend and maybe I'll figure out if I want to return to this website for good. Been thinking a lot about changing my relationship with social media in general. Keeping up with people I care about and entertainment purposes only.

I did not let hobbyless keyboard warriors run me off of Bluesky. I realized I didn’t need to defend myself to people with nothing better to do than cyberbully a stranger over a post they didn’t like and call it “holding people accountable”. And yet atrocities continue to happen. I’m always right.

I struggle to articulate my political stance sometimes, but this picture of a possum screaming at a bald eagle pretty much sums it up.

Did blocking celebrities online end the genocide? Did tagging the NFL on a post about cultural appropriation get the Chiefs to change their name? Did not shopping for a week end capitalism? I haven’t eaten McDonalds in over two years why isn’t there world peace yet?!

Oh no, a person you’ve never talked to irl (and who you only know through their online presence and art) disappointed you because you didn’t like what they have to say on a political topic? Tragic. Donate money if it upsets you that much because it’s the only *realistic* way to make a difference.

Futurama has been on four different networks and every single one seems to have had the stipulation that at least once per season, they are required to remind viewers that “loser delivery boy gets frozen by accident and wakes up a thousand years later” is actually a deeply tragic premise for a show

Piece of advice: Those cheap mixed native seed packets. Find those in the spring. Throw them in the front yard/garden/herb pot in the kitchen/public park #GuerrillaGardening 💯. The ones that bloom, those are your first herbal allies. Just sitting there. Right in front of you. #WitchSky

I have observed that professional critics (and wannabes thereof) are largely of the opinion that criticism should be exempt from criticism. Tell them their whack-ass "critiques" that fail to even engage with the media as it exists are asinine and suddenly you're a stan who can't handle criticism.

Google and Apple don’t care that we are big mad and making noise about refusing to use their products. They are simply too big and too integrated into our entire online environment. Boycotting and snarky online reviews aren’t going to cut it. Need stronger regulations against tech getting so big.
