My hot take is that fandoms have always been a majority of nice people with a subset of absolutely rancid, judgemental arseholes that never got bigger, just louder, but because platforms learned that arguments drive engagement and therefore you see more ads, they tailored algorithms towards that

I cannot grasp the idiocy that rejects modernity. When compact disks with digital recordings first appeared in the 80's, it solved for easily scratched, shitty sounding, needle-skipping, always hissing vinyl records. Now Vinyl is back, mastered from DIGITAL RECORDINGS, and this is somehow 'better'.
