Every construction project that turd touches has at least one significant flaw. When you cheap out on contractors, etc., then shoddy structures happen. So, if peaceful marchers are attacked then we just need to find "...a small thermal exhaust port, right below the main port." 😁

😡 So sorry. Hate when that stuff happens. Food waste is awful - by way of malfunctioning equipment. Or the electric grid. Or in my case, accidentally not closing the freezer all the way that one time - a day after I filled it all up with goodies. At least I had no one to blame but myself there.

Somedays we adjust on the fly. My toaster oven was working, but no quiche in the house and nearly all else would've taken too long. So piece of toast, topped with a microwaved hot dog & mustard, plus a side of chips. Like a grownup. 😁 (And still better than the regular dogs at the ballpark!)

My mom fully retired and said, "F*ck it, I'm done.” Not. She started by acting in one community theater. Now she acts in three regularly, plus writes and directs short plays at another one. She also volunteers with PP and voting rights orgs all the time. She's so lazy for an 84 yo 🤩

It’s not that I think people who commit heinous crimes don’t deserve to die. But I’ll never support the death penalty as long as our justice system is unjust. An unjust system should never have the power to make irreversible decisions, especially when Black people disproportionately pay the price.

Incredible. First Secretary Mullin claimed that DHS had identified 15,903 noncitizens on Nevada’s voter roll. Then DHS officials told a skeptical Nevada, no no no, that’s just people we flagged. Here are the names of 185 people we KNOW aren’t citizens. All 185 were citizens. DHS got 100% wrong.

When the Department of Homeland Security sent Nevada a list of 185 names last month that it claimed identified noncitizens who had been improperly allowed to register to vote, state election officials got to work.
On Tuesday, the state sent a strongly worded rebuke to the federal government: Every single person on the list was a lawful citizen.
"As for the 185 individuals, our records indicate that they were citizens," Greg D. Ott, a deputy attorney general in Nevada, wrote, according to a copy of a letter sent to Department of Homeland Security officials obtained through open records requests.
"You have provided nothing of substance to suggest otherwise."

Following the meeting, Ms. Vogt sent a clarifying email to Nevada officials. "I also wanted to be sure I clarified that we did not reduce the 15,903 to 185," she wrote. "We've manually reviewed some of the 15,903 and confirmed 185 are not U.S. Citizens."
Now, Nevada officials are saying even that 185 number is wrong. They also took issue with a letter D.H.S. sent them in early September, in which the agency reiterated its initial claims about nearly 16,000 noncitizens on the rolls and pressured state officials to review each case in a letter to Nevada officials in early September.

My favorite is when people who have no experience of a thing think they can talk all day about a thing. If you don't have ADHD, then how do you "know" it's over-diagnosed? If you don't need SSRIs, then how do you "know" others don't need them? This is literally basic empathy.
