Science peeps: Looks like SciENcv updated the digital certificate used to sign Biosketch and Current & Pending documents without notification. The old certificate expires Saturday, September 26, 2026. SciENcv docs before that date may fail validation in eRA Commons delaying or blocking submission.

🚨New paper from our Behavioral Insights Team🚨: we randomized patients without activated patient portals who had new lab results to receive one of two emails emphasizing a key portal feature—immediate access to results—or to no contact beyond usual system efforts to encourage enrollment.

🚨New paper! eConsent can promote cost-effectiveness & equity in research, but how does it compare to traditional consent w/r/t informedness? In this RCT, we tested the Sage Bionetworks eConsent developed by @megdoerr.bsky.social & @wilbanks.bsky.social, used by, eg NIH All of Us & Apple ResearchKit.

Reviewer 2 used an LLM to generate their review of our manuscript—except for the part where they asked for several irrelevant papers, all mysteriously authored by the same person, to be cited. Thank you, Reviewer 1, whoever you are. Not all heroes wear capes.
I am unconvinced that the three additional citations, all to [redacted], add to the paper. Although I fully understand the authors’ decision to include them given the other reviewer’s suggestions, I would like to voice my firm support if they prefer not to include them in the final version.

Is there a setting I need to toggle so that when someone I follow decides to engage every person involved their pile-on, my feed doesn’t turn into nothing but their replies? At least on the other site, unless people were QTing, you had only your attraction to drama to blame for getting lost in that.

“Data is not available upon request”: the latest paper finding, of articles stating that data were available upon request, only 17%…shared data upon request. 😐 Seriously stop doing this. Put it in a repository while it’s fresh; it will only get *less* convenient to share as time goes on, not more.
