Bafflingly there are still people out there in the world who think being passionate about nature is “kind of weird”. or “a niche interest”. These people have it all wrong. Nature isn’t some quirky sideline to the main business. It IS the main business. Nature is us.

Yes, the stock market may be tanking and our national security apparatus has never been more vulnerable and we're on the verge of both economic collapse and war, but it was all worth it to keep pronouns out of email signatures.

WTF is going on here at Blue Sky? People are civil to each other. People having intelligent discussions. People are spelling things correctly. I haven’t seen any racism or sexism. I’m confused.

What disappoints me most about his supporters is that their entire platform is about HURTING others. Taking away rights. Taking away benefits. Taking away a path to citizenship. It’s a platform based on cruelty. They hate their lives and prefer if everyone suffered rather than solving it. Sad.

For those who don’t know me but are new here, I’m the author of 29 books. My newest, BY ANY OTHER NAME, is about how women have been judged differently from men for over 400 years. (Sound familiar??) Oh, and my novel NINETEEN MINUTES is THE most banned book in America right now. 🎉

Don’t think Zinn Education Project is here yet but here are their resources for teaching a People’s History of Veterans Day. Including lessons on violence against Black Veterans, soldiers who organized against the Vietnam War, and antifascist vets who were criminalized by the U.S. government.

If you have the AUDACITY to play video games on "easy" or "story" mode... I want you to know that I think that's a perfectly acceptable way to enjoy a video game that you paid for because you're supposed to enjoy your favorite pastime any way you like. Real life's hard enough. Enjoy your hobby.👍

When I joined "Twitter" before it became "the bad place" my goal was to reach 10k followers. I want to share my journey and my work. I didn't imagine 9k followers on this site this year. Maybe 10k by 2025 is possible! When my book drops in March I want it shared widely!

BREAKING NEWS

Hundreds of sea lions invade new social media platform
Starving for prey as their native habitat degrades, a crowd of sealions invaded social media upstart Bluesky last week, creating mass annoyance on the part of local residents

Hundreds of goddamn sealions arriving at Bluesky, on November 11, 2024.

The sea lions have invaded, and they're trying to ruin everything for everybody.

Force from their natural home by enviornmental degradation and plummeting numbers of prey, a crowd of sea lions has swarmed into Bluesky this week, as their population numbers vastly exceed the number of remaining good faith targets on the X platform. Bluesky users have been had to scramble to implement adequate protections, but the nuclear block functionality of that platform is holding — for now at least. Vast hoards of the beasts can be seen in the tidal shallows of the website gallumphing around in bewilderment, posting things like "where is ever1???" and "you can't blcok me for asking a question."
