ppl are more concerned about having their disgust validated than they are about discussing and combating the erosion of your right to privacy that porn bans are actually about. that is how absurd legislation like "2-5 yrs prison for incest roleplay porn" gets passed.

Merriam Webster out here fighting for its life

Merriam-Webster & @Merriam..•18h
'Goodbye' is an alteration of "God be with you."

Sean Kress• @SKress7514 • 16h
Do you have evidence to back this up? If so can you explain what "good night" , "good
morning" and "good evening" are alterations of?

Merriam-Webster & @Merriam..•15h
what

Sean Kress & @SKress7514 • 14h
I was genuinely asking the question because the only thing I find on the internet is that it is basically a slur from the original.... I assumed there was a better explanation for it than that as it seems a little unlikely given the good night, good morning etc haven't been slurred into something else too. Sorry if you saw that as offensive.

Merriam-Webster @ @Merriam...•14h S
It is not related to 'good night/ day/morning.'
The 'good' in those do not come from 'God.'

Sean Kress @ @SKress7514 • 14h
So the internet suggestion this it is just a slur is what you are basing that on too then?

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Merriam-Webster's etymology follows established linguistic scholarship, not unverified internet suggestions of a "slur."
"Goodbye" is an alteration of "God be with you"; "good" in greetings like "good morning" has separate origins unrelated to "God."

listen, walter. here's what you're gonna do. you're gonna open Notepad. you're gonna write down your lore for your OC, stream-of-consciousness style. and you're gonna send it to your friends. no site registration. no Dalamud plugin. no images. just 12 paragraph of straight bullshit. understand?

I just know that she knows- #FieldsOfMistria

A fan-comic of fields of Mistria.

Valen looks at juniper while smiling, telling her " You know, you don't have to lie to me, Juniper. I know what you are. "

Juniper looks stressed out.

Juniper wonders if Valen knows she's a witch.

Hayden and March wonder if Juniper is gay.

Valen knows Juniper is a gay witch.

one of the worst and most terrifying pieces of information that ive learned is that in order to make friends you kind of have to be annoying to people. and if they like it thenn you can be friends. friendship is just when you both like when the other one is annoying
