Bouquets of days
Simultaneously swirling
The famine felt so full
During perilous nights
And thought to be
wasted beginnings
Do I need to gain better traction
In this rainforest dripping with
Disdain
Swinging vine to vine
Victoriously despite
All of this
Unseen victories
Hiding under bindings and
Blindfolds
Cowering under cornerstones
Caught in the cobwebs of
Years stacking so high
The wind carries them away
With its breath
Its sweet lilac
And lovely lavender
Yet you are still too small
To touch the sky
