Doing some test prints today 🦦✨

A laptop sits on a desk next to a novelty Mr dress up mug. The screen on the laptop shows an illustration of animals inhabiting a subway car. Resting on the keyboard is a print out of that same illustration, but the blues and purples have printed significantly darker.

Hey, Affinity? Why do you open files like this as default? I just wanna talk

screenshot from the software Affinity Photo 2. An illustration file has been opened and only takes up half the window, making it very small. The other half of the window is taken up entirely by the layers tab. It doesn't make sense, and feels actively hostile.

Been wrestling with a lot of feeling overwhelmed. Part-time job has brought a lot of much needed stability but I just never feel like I have enough time. Then I realized 'you're trying to make three different comics with a part-time job. It's hard doing ONE comic and a part-time job. Relax'

1/4 After chatting with my students this semester I was inspired to redraw & re-letter my "Ins and Outs of Webcomics" comic. A 9 page Scott McCloud-style narrative for those looking for comics-related reading material, how-to guides, or an introduction to webcomics! #Webcomics #Comic

Cover of "The Ins and Outs of Webcomics" by "Jey Pawlik". Black and white illustration with halftones of Jey, a nonbinary person with short cropped black hair and big rectangular glasses running through a panel in a comic page. The background is made up of many blank comic pages with panel layouts on them.

YEAH IN GAME LOL Bubblegumshoe is built a lot more around high-stakes arguments rather than combat, so once someone asked 'I want to put a bag over her head' or 'I want to put her in a full nelson' I wasn't sure how to handle

060

This went okay!! I was using the bubblegumshoe rule set, and it was not only my first time running a game but also first time PLAYING with that rule set. Things got a little out of control when a physical fight broke out at the end and players asked to do things beyond combat, but an easy fix!

Also this weekend: finally replaced the ai etsy desk mat that duped me with a maruti bitamin piece!

Starting to learn when I'm overwhelmed, it manifests in small cracks. I'll feel fine all morning and then I realize I'm out of clean socks and that's the last straw. I'll have a good day and then get a pimple because I haven't had time to replace my moisturizer. These little burnout indicators

To the people who respond to this with either a) you’re just complaining bc they do better than you or b) it’s clearly the fan artist’s fault! You’re both treating a 3 dimensional issue in a very 1 dimensional way
