Having now finished Paradise I have to ask why nobody told me about this show. I thought it was a political thriller from the ads and was woefully misled. It’s been a little while since I’ve done a #ThingThursday so here’s what I’ve been working on. I took a broken Polly Pocket and turned it into a Polly Yaga Hut! It was a really fun project. Special thanks to my husband for letting me use his miniature paints and for resin printing the legs for me.

Front of schoolhouse Polly Pocket that I turned into a Baba Yaga hut. It stands on resin printed chicken legs. The siding is painted brown with a red roof and door. I covered it in patches of moss and leaves. I made a small dead tree with a tiny skeleton hanging from the branch next to the front door. It also has a large eye with a yellow iris on the front that I used to cover up a raised design on the schoolhouse.

Voter ID, right? Vote by mail. So that creates a problem for Oregon.

Bonus #ThingThursday: I found this double sided cheapo clock/fake compass at Marshalls that I pulled apart to remove the mechanism so I could put bugs in it.

Repurposed cheap mass produced double-sided clock compass. Side A contains a brown beetle on green moss, surrounded by lichen (yellow and green varieties) and small white flowers.
